Meet the Doctor
Dr. David de Barros
Since 1988, Dr. de Barros has been helping people regain their health and free them of their pain by using a "whole person approach" when taking care of his patients. By combining the very best hands-on-technique, state of the art physiotherapy procedures and neuromuscular re-education, Dr. de Barros is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health. He strives to improve and update his knowledge in the field of chiropractic. He graduated from Life Chiropractic College and has completed post graduate studies offered by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is certified in Pediatric Chiropractic. Dr. de Barros also completed post graduate studies at the Spine Research Institute of San Diego for treatment and rehabilitation of whiplash injuries, headaches, neck and back pain due to an automobile accident. He and his well trained staff are committed to helping the Mechanicsville and Greater Richmond communities achieve optium health, naturally.
The clinic currently has three doctors of Chiropractic on staff who are well diversified in the very best hands-on-techniques, state of the art physiotherapy and practical knowledge in exercise and nutrition. A firm believer in the basic premise that every individual has an innate ability to heal themselves if the nervous system is at optimum function. Dr. de Barros and his wife Yvonne, have two children and reside in Ashland, Virginia.

Dr. Walter Bogdan
Dr. Bogdan’s first experience with Chiropractic was when he became a patient in 1988 after injuring his low back. His low back “went out” while washing his car. With Chiropractic care, not only did his low back problem get better, but his “normal" sinus infections no longer occurred. Within a short time, he realized the benefits Chiropractic had to offer and decided to go to chiropractic college.
While at Life University, Dr. Bogdan became very involved in the Gonstead Clinical Studies Society, studying the importance of spinal biomechanics. He became certified as an instructor, qualified in the science, art and philosophy of spinal, as well as extremity adjusting. He also had extensive studies in pediatric and geriatric care.
After graduating in 1997, and receiving his Virginia license, Dr. Bogdan began sharing chiropractic in the Richmond area. He first worked in Chester as an associate doctor and now has been at de Barros Chiropractic for the past few years. Through the latest techniques and procedures in chiropractic and exercise, Dr. Bogdan offers his patients the opportunity to achieve the most they can form their health care experience.

Our staff is here to serve you: explaining the details of how to make the paperwork a little easier, making sure you understand the doctor’s instructions in detail and treating you like a person, not a number or just another case.
Amy and Kaytie our fablous front desk chiropratic assistants, will be your first encounter with our clinic. Their pleasant voices will answer the phone when you call our office. They know how valuable your time is and will make your visit plesant and efficient. They will be happy to schedule an appointment that fits your schedule.
Shannon is our insurance specialist. She is here to make the paperwork and insurance issues as pleasant as possible. She will explain your insurance company's benefits or help you with a budget plan of payment that will work for you.
